OmAstroVedic computes birth charts, dashas, panchang, muhurta and compatibility from Swiss Ephemeris planetary positions — the same astronomical data professional astronomers use — and reads them through classical Vedic rules (Parashara, Jaimini, KP). Nothing is hand-waved: every page is generated from the math of your moment and place of birth.
OmAstroVedic is operated by OmAstroVedic Technologies (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. and was founded by Harish Soni Swarnkar, a software engineer applying engineering rigour to jyotish. The engine, the interpretation canon and this site are developed as one product — the same calculations power the free tools, the PDF reports and the AI astrologer.
We continuously cross-check our panchang, festival and muhurta output against established almanacs — tithi, nakshatra and festival dates are validated against Drik-ganita references for New Delhi, and our marriage-muhurta engine matches published date lists.
