What this site is
OmAstroVedic computes birth charts, dashas, panchang, muhurta and compatibility from Swiss Ephemeris planetary positions — the same astronomical data professional astronomers use — and reads them through classical Vedic rules (Parashara, Jaimini, KP). Nothing is hand-waved: every page is generated from the math of your moment and place of birth.
Who is behind it
OmAstroVedic is operated by OmAstroVedic Technologies (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. and was founded by Harish Soni Swarnkar, a software engineer applying engineering rigour to jyotish. The engine, the interpretation canon and this site are developed as one product — the same calculations power the free tools, the PDF reports and the AI astrologer.
How we verify accuracy
We continuously cross-check our panchang, festival and muhurta output against established almanacs — tithi, nakshatra and festival dates are validated against Drik-ganita references for New Delhi, and our marriage-muhurta engine matches published date lists. Where traditions differ (ayanamsa, regional rules), we say which convention we follow. See the Accuracy page for the current verification status.
Why we label predictions
Astrology is interpretation, not certainty. Every AI-written reading on this site is grounded in classical source rules, and our pledge page explains what we will and will not claim. Remedies are suggestions from the tradition — never fear-based upsells.
