About this kundali generator
A janma kundali is the map of the sky at the exact moment and place of your birth: the sidereal positions of the nine grahas across the twelve houses, your lagna (ascendant), nakshatra and the vimshottari dasha timeline that flows from them. This generator computes all of it from your date, time and place of birth — there is nothing to install and nothing to pay.
Every position is calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris — the same planetary data professional astronomy software uses — using the Lahiri ayanamsa by default, with KP and other ayanamsas available. Beyond the rasi chart you get the navamsa and 13 more divisional charts, detected yogas and doshas with their cancellation rules, shadbala strengths, ashtakavarga, KP sub-lords, Jaimini karakas and current transits — the full working of a professional desk, in 13 Indian languages.
Kundali — frequently asked questions
- What do I need to generate my kundali?
- Three things: your date of birth, your time of birth (as exact as possible — the lagna changes roughly every two hours), and your place of birth. The place sets the coordinates and timezone used for the calculation.
- Is the kundali really free?
- Yes. Generating your birth chart — including the divisional charts, dashas, yogas, doshas and strengths — is free, with no account required to compute a chart.
- How accurate are the calculations?
- Planetary positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris, accurate to fractions of an arc-second, with the Lahiri ayanamsa as the default sidereal reference. The same engine drives our panchang and festival dates, which are verified against established panchang references.
- What is included beyond the basic chart?
- The workspace adds 14 divisional charts (D-2 to D-60), the vimshottari dasha calendar plus five other dasha systems, detected yogas and doshas with cancellation rules, shadbala and vimshopaka strengths, sarvashtakavarga, KP cusps and sub-lords, Jaimini chara karakas, upagrahas, current transits and an annual varshaphal chart.
- North Indian or South Indian chart — which is correct?
- Both. They are two display formats of the same calculation: the North Indian diamond keeps houses fixed and rotates signs; the South Indian grid keeps signs fixed. You can switch styles with one tap — the planetary positions are identical.
- Which ayanamsa do you use?
- Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) by default — the Indian government standard most panchangs use. KP charts use the Krishnamurti ayanamsa, and the engine also supports Raman, Yukteshwar, True Chitra and other systems.
