Numerology Calculator — by Date of Birth & Name

Your numbers in three systems, each labelled — the Vedic numbers from your date of birth, your name read in Chaldean, and the Western Pythagorean set. Different systems give a name different numbers; both are shown rather than one presented as the answer.

Name Compatibility

Compare two names by their Chaldean name numbers — for partners, business co-founders, or a brand and its founder.

This numerology calculator gives your numbers in three systems, each labelled: the Vedic Mulank and Bhagyank from your date of birth, your name read in Chaldean (the system Indian name numerology uses), and the Western Pythagorean set — Life Path, Expression, Soul Urge, Personality and Birthday. All computed deterministically from your name and date of birth.

What are Mulank and Bhagyank?

Mulank (the root number) is your day of birth reduced to a single digit — the daily self. Bhagyank (the destiny number) is day + month + the year’s digits, reduced — the longer arc. Both come from the date alone, so no change of spelling affects them. They are the numbers Indian numerology reads first, and they are NOT the same as the Western Life Path.

Why does my name give a different number here than elsewhere?

Because Chaldean and Pythagorean use different letter tables, so the same name can legitimately reduce to different numbers — neither is wrong. Chaldean is what Indian name numerology uses, and it reads the compound total (44, say) as well as the single digit it reduces to. Most Western sites show only Pythagorean. We show both and name the system beside each, rather than presenting one as the answer.

Do master numbers 11, 22 and 33 get reduced?

Not in the Pythagorean set — when a total lands on 11, 22 or 33 the calculator preserves it as a master number rather than reducing further, following standard practice. Chaldean does not use master numbers at all: it reduces to 1–9 and reads the compound total separately, which is its own convention rather than an oversight.
