What is Rahu Kaal?
Rahu Kaal is a roughly 90-minute inauspicious window each weekday ruled by Rahu. Tradition avoids starting important new work during it; the exact local time depends on sunrise and varies by city.
How is panchang different from choghadiya?
Panchang is the full five-limb almanac for the day. Choghadiya is one part of it — eight day and eight night muhurta segments (Amrit, Shubh, Labh, Rog, Kaal, etc.) used to pick a good moment for travel or new work.
